SWIFTFOAM‚Ñ¢ MIDSOLE

A Low Carbon Runner’s High

How do you make a running shoe that’s super springy, responsive and super sustainable? It starts at the midsole. To create our SwiftFoam™ midsole, we use a first-of-its kind, one step foaming process that makes this the lowest energy midsole production process on the market, with a compound that delivers a finished part with 48% bio content.

RE-ENGINEERED UPPER

Secure For Every Stride

We reimagined the eucalyptus tree upper with a zonal knit– aka more stretch across the top and toes for breathability, and a tighter knit in the midfoot to help lock the foot into place.

INCREASED TRACTION

Go Further With Extra Grip

Made with an updated natural rubber compound, the horizontal lug pattern (designed perpendicular to your running motion) helps grip the road with more traction, even in wet or rainy weather.

Overall rating: 4.375587 / 5 from 213 reviews.

Reviews

Stylish shoe extremely comfortable

"While I was wearing these shoes for the first time to lightly break them in. I had a number of people comment how good the shoes looked. My size 11. 5 was only available in the grey but if there was an option, I would have happily bought a black pair too. These shoes are extremely comfortable and give you firm plant as you stride giving you confidence that you not going to roll your ankle, even on uneven terrain. Cheers - James"

James A. (5/5)

Very smart looking

"I haven’t actually worn these new tree runners yet but I like the dense black colour and the structured look which is an improvement on my old tree runners. They seem a bit stiffer maybe and the sole looks plasticky, but I’m sure I’ll get used to that. Super fast delivery."

Margaret (5/5)

Purchased for a month in Europe

"Spent time walking around the paved and cobbled cities and castles of Europe, across England, Scotland, France, Italy , Hungary, Czechia, Germany and Belgium. I have flat feet myself so lots of walking isn't always a painless experience, but these held up well and provided good comfort for many hours of walking each day. They breath well, dry out well from a casual splash and the grip on them is great on both smooth and rough surfaces, dry and wet. Honestly the best grip I've ever had in a shoe. The grip has held up well, with minimal wear inflicted, so they are still good as new relatively speaking"

Nathan (5/5)

The shoes arrived quickly and on time.

"The shoes fitted me well first time I've bought any All birds. I wore them all day the first day they arrived very comfortable and I am very happy. Friends have raved for years about them, it has takien me a long time to get round to buying a pair but happy that I have."

norma b. (5/5)

More structure but still super comfy

"This is my 4th pair of Allbirds. I needed new shoes for work and I looked at other options before buying these. My job demands that I look smart but I also need to do short hikes. These shoes fit the bill perfectly. They have enough support, and grip, for gentle trails combined with looking smarter than your average trainer. Oh yes, and they are super comfy! I do hope the soles last longer than previous pairs though. The speed at which the sole wears away to smooth is the only reason I looked elsewhere before buying these. I still have purchases 1,2 and 3, they are used as slippers and hut shoes now."

Amada (4/5)

Slipped on, tied tight, stayed the distance, super

"These shoes are my third pair and just like the others - they do what they say on the tin. I slipped them on, tied them up and zoomed off on my day. Stayed comfy and warm but not sweaty and at the end of the day no tired feet. Higly recommended"

Andrew N. (5/5)

New wheels

"These are great. Comfy and very grippy soles. I won't be running in them but will be walking heaps. I'm very happy with them. Firm fit and sole unlike my original tree runners which is all about comfort."

Mike S. (5/5)

Super Comfy.

"I love the original Tree Runners - this is my 4th pair! I do find that I wear a hole in the upper with my big toe, hence the number of pairs I have brought over the years. I usually buy the white but also have a blue pair that have faded dreadfully. They do not need ʻbreaking inʻ as they are super comfy and light from the first wear. I also brought a pair of Tree Runner Go and find them heavier and stiffer and not so comfortable. All my family have multiple pairs of All Birds!"

LJP (4/5)

Extreme comfort and grip.

"These are supremely comfortable and the new tread pattern gives great grip on all surfaces. A shoe you can wear for almost any occasion. Smart looking, comfortable all day footwear."

James A. (5/5)

Good so far

"I like the bold but restrained colour of these Dasher NZ shoes. Im not a huge fan of the integrated tongue at the moment but it's ok. This is my 5th pair of Allbirds and they are all still functional so expecting they will break in a bit and have a long life."
