Care Guide

1. Remove the laces and insoles.

2. Place shoes in a delicates bag (pro tip: a pillowcase works too).

3. Choose a gentle cycle with cold water & mild detergent.

4. Shake out any excess water & set aside to air dry.

5. Shoes will regain their original shape with one or two wears.

Too big and clunky

"Unfortunately the new wool runners didn't work for me so were returned. The new style shoes are actually about 2cm longer, very wide, and heavier than the originals, and very clunky. So it's back to the comfortable, original wool runners which hopefully will be still available in the future."

"I started wearing Allbirds about 6 years ago. They are the most comfortable shoe ever and I love wearing them. I feel very sure footed and stable when wearing them which is also a huge plus. I wore them initially around the house but now I wear them to work as well. I very much appreciate the attention to detail and the fact they are more environmentally friendly than many shoes in the market."

"I love wool runners. They are my staple casual shoe all year round. Warm in winter and cool in summer (no socks). I'd do 5 stars if the replacement innersoles were still available as that adds to the longevity as I still have a viable pair 6 years on."

"While it is supposed to have a roomier toe box, it feels very tight. My feet are normal width and it is the correct size I have got. Hopefully with more wear, it will feel more comfortable eventually. Other than that, it has lots of cushioning. I have got other Allbirds shoes, but they felt comfortable at the very start."

Good - but I prefer the old version

"I have had 2 pairs of wool runners in the past and found them to be the most wonderful, comfortable shoes ever. So I was disappointed to find my new pair have a different "new and improved" design. They are not as comfortable as the old version. I don't like the curved tongues and the soles are so thick and look quite clunky on my feet. Also don't like the colour of the sole which is meant to be light grey, it is far lighter (more like off white) than my existing pair of the same colour scheme. I wish Allbirds could have kept the old design as a "Classic" and offered a new version as well, to cater for those who love the old version AND people who want some tweaks. On the plus side, it's great that there is now more durability in the toe area. I'll be keeping them as they are still great shoes and very comfortable - just not sensational like the old ones."
